You should be at least 21 years of age
Have held a full car licence for 3 years or more
Have not been banned or disqualified from driving in the last 4 years
You should have no more than 5 or more penalty points
You have to complete and pass a Disclosure and Barring service (DBS) check

How do I become a
Qualified Driving Instructor?
To become a qualified Driver and Vehicles Standard Agency (DVSA) Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), you are required to pass the DVSA examination, which is in three parts. After passing the Theory Test (Part 1) you will need to pass two Practical Tests (Part 2 & 3) within 2 years.
PART 1
A computer based multiple choice theory test (100 questions) and hazard perception test. You are required to pass both and will need to score 85/100 & 57/75 respectively.
PART 2
A practical driving test designed to evaluate your driving ability. The exam lasts for one hour and you must not concede more than 6 driving faults to pass. This is the stage at which you can consider a Trainee Licence and earn while you learn.
PART 3
A practical instructional test designed to instruct a student. The examiner observes you training a learner or a full licence holder from the back seat of your vehicle.

Training With Us
The Benefits Of Training With Us
One To One Training
Unlike most training providers who want the training to be done on a 2:2:1 basis which is known as a buddy up system, you’ll be trained 1:2:1, no sharing. You’ll have your own personal ORDIT trainer to guide and support you throughout your course.
ORDIT Training
You’ll have a qualified instructor trainer who is listed on the DVSA’s Offical Register of Driving Instructor Trainers – ORDIT.
Study Materials
We’ll provide you training sources to get you started including the latest theory app software, and other supporting materials which you can find of benefit.
40 Hours of In Car Training
You’ll get 40 hours of 1:2:1 practical in–car training with your trainer. You’ll receive regular feedback so you’re know how you’re doing and where to improve.
Earn While You Learn
You can choose to apply for a Trainee Licence so you can start gaining valuable work experience to help you prepare for your final exam.
